Correct identification determines the solution: one ghost may require locating its grave and burning the right remains, while other enemies call for an exorcism or a specialized weapon. Players can retreat to the vehicle if a mission spirals out of control, but survival often depends on communicating clearly and deciding when to push deeper into the house.

Randomized names, clue placements, enemy temperament, and difficulty keep familiar maps from becoming completely predictable. The graveyard-and-notes mechanic gives certain cases a more hands-on investigative payoff than simply checking off evidence, turning deduction into a morbid scavenger hunt under pressure. Voice recognition also adds a memorable twist, allowing players to address entities directly or speak words needed during rituals, which makes a quiet room feel especially unnerving.
