Notari fights through a hostile future sky with only a determined promise and a talkative AI to keep her moving forward. Mirage Feathers is an anime-styled pseudo-3D rail shooter that trades slow tactical flight simulation for relentless arcade pressure, sending a cybernetic Federation fighter against swarms of aircraft and increasingly dangerous foes. Its story follows Notari’s search for Miroita, her missing best friend, while suspicion falls on the military, the Institute, and the Federation itself. The mood balances lonely, personal sci-fi drama with bright character art and the cathartic thrill of blasting through an army that seems to have turned against you.

Combat centers on steering through fixed forward-moving stages, lining enemies up in the crosshair, and letting Notari’s targeting system acquire locks before her shots curve toward their prey. Ammunition never runs dry, so success depends less on conserving resources and more on tracking targets, avoiding incoming fire, and keeping the screen under control as waves thicken. Luciolla, the AI built by Miroita, gathers data from stronger opponents over the course of the campaign, opening up alternate primary weapons with distinct behavior and giving later missions more tactical variety. OVERDRIVE acts as the major power spike: activating it supercharges the entire weapons suite and provides the satisfying screen-clearing force needed when enemy formations become overwhelming.

Story Mode uses scripted missions and text-driven interludes to give Notari and Luciolla’s relationship room to develop beyond the cockpit. Endless Mode removes the narrative structure, unlocks the complete arsenal, and tests score-chasing endurance against randomized enemy waves that steadily escalate in difficulty. The combination of automatic lock-ons and different weapon loadouts makes it more approachable than a dense bullet-hell shooter, while demanding enough awareness to reward players who enjoy refining runs. Fans of arcade air combat, anime sci-fi melodrama, and score-focused shooters in the vein of Star Fox’s on-rails action should find plenty to like, especially if they want a focused campaign with a replayable survival option.
