Momodora III is a brisk pixel-art action platformer that trades sprawling metroidvania wandering for focused, stage-by-stage progression, while still hiding plenty of optional discoveries off the obvious path. Its bright retro look and charming character sprites create an approachable first impression, but the atmosphere gradually turns stranger and more hostile as the pair push toward the source of the disturbance.

Players choose between the two heroines and battle through six main stages filled with aggressive monsters, hazards, vertical platforming, and memorable boss encounters.
