Monday Night Combat mixes a third-person class shooter with tower-defense objectives, wrapping the action in a satirical sports-broadcast presentation full of sponsors, cash prizes, and over-the-top announcer energy. Matches revolve around protecting your team’s Moneyball while trying to destroy the enemy’s, giving every firefight a clear purpose beyond simply topping the kill chart. The tone is playful and cartoonish, but the combat is fast, tactical, and often unforgiving when a coordinated push reaches your base.

Players choose from six sharply defined Pros, including the stealthy Assassin, heavy Gunner, long-range Sniper, versatile Assault, defensive Support, and durable Tank. Each class has its own weapons, skills, upgrades, and grappling finishers, so success comes from knowing your job rather than chasing kills with every character. In Crossfire, teams escort and support AI bot waves, build automated defenses, control map space, and look for openings to breach the opposition’s Moneyball. Blitz offers the more approachable cooperative side: up to four players defend their own objective against robot hordes, spend earned cash on turrets and upgrades, and use environmental traps to survive increasingly brutal rounds.

Its strongest idea is how naturally shooting, lane pressure, base building, and character roles fit together. A player can contribute by healing allies, upgrading bot spawners, ambushing key targets, or building a turret network, making it feel closer to a compact blend of Team Fortress 2, Monday Night Football spectacle, and a MOBA’s objective play than a standard arena shooter. Persistent earnings unlock a huge collection of cosmetic ProTags and custom class options, while harder Blitz variants provide a satisfying score-chasing challenge.
