EXAMU brings the accessible combo structure of Arcana Heart to a cast drawn from visual novels, games, and related anime properties, including Super Sonico, Saya, Ein, and characters from Phantom and Demonbane. Every heroine has distinct tools, from close-range weapon specialists to projectile users and unconventional fighters, while Lethal Blaze supers deliver the huge, character-specific spectacle expected from a crossover brawler.

The PC edition uses the later arcade balance update and includes playable additions such as Homura from SENRAN KAGURA and Heart from Arcana Heart, along with enhanced stage activity and extra victory scenes. Its appeal lies in the contrast between an easy entry point and a system that rewards lab work, matchup knowledge, and clever assist combinations. Online multiplayer and leaderboards give dedicated players a reason to keep refining their teams, although the strongest experience comes from playing with opponents who appreciate fast, expressive anime fighters.
