A murder has already happened when each mission begins; your job is to make it look like nobody was ever there. Nobodies: Murder Cleaner turns the usual spy thriller fantasy inside out, casting you as the anonymous operative who deals with corpses, compromised crime scenes, and inconvenient evidence after a covert assassination. The tone is darkly comic rather than graphic, mixing sinister government conspiracies and bioweapon terrorism with the absurd practicality of finding a way to hide a body in plain sight. Every location becomes a contained problem box where one overlooked clue can bring the entire operation down.

Point-and-click exploration drives the action as you search hand-drawn environments, collect tools, combine inventory items, and manipulate machinery, chemicals, vehicles, and the people around you. Each of the thirteen assignments asks you to remove evidence, dispose of the target, and leave without attracting police attention, often requiring careful sequencing rather than simple item matching. Fail states come from obvious mistakes such as leaving forensic traces or triggering suspicion, but retries are quick enough to encourage experimentation. Several puzzles allow alternate solutions, rewarding players who spot a cleaner, faster, or more creatively ruthless way to finish the job.

Its strongest idea is the reversal of adventure-game logic: instead of exposing a conspiracy or solving a murder, you actively erase one while helping a shadowy agency dismantle the Q-100 terrorist network. Nearly one hundred illustrated scenes give the missions a distinct comic-book look, while the puzzles range from familiar adventure-game inventory challenges to more specialized mechanical and environmental problems. The narrative draws some of its unease from Cold War-era human experimentation, giving the otherwise playful presentation a genuinely grim backdrop. Fans of Rusty Lake’s eerie problem-solving, classic point-and-click adventures, or games that reward lateral thinking should find plenty to enjoy, and its approachable controls make it a good fit for newcomers as well as genre veterans.
