Origin Hunt

A kidnapped creature becomes the unlikely center of a violent political reckoning in Lenma, a nation kept stable for centuries by elemental rulers known as Origin Mages. Origin Hunt is a story-heavy turn-based RPG that pairs its fantasy conflict with a personal goal: surviving a foreign land and finding a way home. Beneath the familiar shape of a mage-controlled kingdom sits a messier tale of old tragedies, competing ideals, and people convinced that their version of justice is the only one that matters. The mood shifts between character-driven humor, romance, and genuinely grim consequences, giving the journey more emotional weight than its colorful fantasy presentation initially suggests.

Combat revolves around party-based, turn-driven battles where positioning in the turn order, status effects, passives, and equipment traits matter as much as raw damage. No party member is trapped in a conventional class, so a healer can become an aggressive attacker, a sturdy fighter can specialize in debilitating foes, and a rogue can manipulate turns or support allies. Weapons and armor accept customizable augments, opening the door to unusual builds based on health drain, retaliation damage, debuffs, set bonuses, and other synergies. Tough bosses are designed to punish players who ignore their mechanics, but they also encourage experimentation rather than demanding one prescribed solution. What separates Origin Hunt from many indie RPGs is the sheer freedom of its buildcraft alongside a narrative where conversations and decisions alter relationships and reactions. Animated battle scenes keep encounters lively, while costume transmogs and elaborate gear names add some welcome personality to a demanding adventure. The expected campaign length is substantial, with a main route estimated around 60 hours and additional optional material extending it further.
