A decaying mansion in 1950s Taiwan becomes the center of a deeply personal search for identity, family, and buried trauma. Pagui follows an orphan raised within a temple community after he learns that the story of his birth is far more complicated than he has been told. Historical tension, local spiritual beliefs, and supernatural dread shape an adventure that aims for sorrow as much as fear. Its mood is deliberately oppressive, using a culturally specific setting rather than generic haunted-house clichés.
