Pony Island turns a simple endless runner into a suspenseful meta-puzzle about resisting a hostile machine and the demonic presence controlling it. Its tone swings between deliberately silly pony action, unsettling glitches, and sharp comedy aimed at bad software design. The result feels like an old cabinet game possessed by something that knows exactly how players think.

Most of the action begins with steering a unicorn through side-scrolling obstacle courses, leaping over hazards and firing rainbow shots at enemies, but the runner levels are only one layer of the challenge.
