Game Overview

Medieval decorum meets gleeful slapstick in a compact logic puzzler where muddy floors become a matter of honour. Noble ladies and bishops refuse to soil their garments, so a squad of cape-wearing knights must arrange themselves into safe, dry routes across each room. The premise is charmingly absurd, but the puzzles quickly become demanding as every square, cape length, and character position matters. Puddle Knights keeps its tone playful even when it asks for some seriously methodical thinking.

Each level tasks you with moving the full party to its assigned exit without allowing the high-ranking travellers to touch mud. Knights can lie down to extend their capes over puddles, form bridges with their bodies, hold mechanisms in place, and occasionally endure being used as literal stepping stones. The twist is that these actions alter the layout and restrict movement, turning simple crossings into carefully sequenced spatial problems. More than 100 stages steadily introduce new interactions and tougher arrangements, while unlimited undo and restart options encourage experimentation rather than punishing failed ideas.

Unlike Sokoban-style puzzlers built around crates, switches, and key hunting, Puddle Knights derives nearly every challenge from the unusual relationship between character placement, movement order, and the geometry of capes. Its clean, storybook-like presentation makes each puzzle easy to read, while the escalating designs reward players who enjoy pausing to map out several moves ahead. There is no timer, combat, or twitchy execution requirement; success comes entirely from recognizing the right sequence and being willing to rethink a plan. Fans of Baba Is You, Patrick’s Parabox, or clever grid-based puzzle games should find plenty to enjoy, and its approachable early stages make it suitable for newcomers before the later rooms test seasoned puzzle veterans.
