RAGDORE (v0.1)

A fragile simulated body becomes the star of a gleefully grim sandbox built around catastrophic accidents. RAGDORE trades conventional objectives for dark slapstick experimentation, letting players see exactly how far a ragdoll can bend, break, and keep moving before physics finally wins. The tone is nasty but cartoonish rather than frightening, with stylized presentation softening the impact of saw blades, crushing machinery, explosions, and spectacular falls. Every injury matters because the character’s damaged state directly changes how it navigates the environment.

Players send their character through hazard-filled arenas, then watch and manipulate the aftermath as bones snap, limbs separate, and mobility deteriorates. A ruined leg causes an uneven hobble, severe damage can reduce movement to a crawl, and losing usable limbs forces the body to improvise with whatever remains. Crushers, rotating blades, launchers, and trampolines turn each map into a testing ground for increasingly ridiculous scenarios, while a separate dummy NPC gives players another target for experiments. The main loop is simple but effective: set up an accident, observe the simulation’s response, and reset to try a more destructive or creative approach.

What separates RAGDORE from ordinary ragdoll toys is its emphasis on functional injury rather than purely visual dismemberment. Damage is not a scripted animation; it changes balance, locomotion, and the often absurd struggle to escape danger, giving even small experiments unpredictable results. Its focused scope makes it closer to the freeform destruction side of People Playground or the physics chaos of BeamNG.drive than a mission-based action game. Players who enjoy sandbox cruelty, emergent comedy, and testing detailed physics systems find plenty to toy with, while anyone needing a story, progression system, or polished challenge structure may want more substance.
