Rerun is a compact tactical roguelite where a mismatched band of adventurers survives dangerous dungeon rooms by turning lava, traps, and enemy movement against their opponents. Its mood is playful rather than grim, but the pressure is real: waste too many ability charges and even a routine fight can become an exhausting, unwinnable loop.

Combat plays out as a turn-based puzzle, asking players to place heroes safely, manipulate foes, and chain each character’s abilities for maximum disruption. The randomized dungeon map also functions as a branching progression board, so every route means choosing between safer advancement, particular upgrades, and greedier reward opportunities before major boss fights. More than 80 upgrades can reshape the party’s tools, while seven unlockable adventurers bring over 40 abilities and items into the mix. With 21 possible adventurer pairings, experimentation matters as much as raw tactical skill, especially when deciding whether to conserve charges or spend them on a decisive environmental kill.
