Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood blends real-time strategy, stealth, and adventure into a campaign built around robbing the rich, protecting villagers, and weakening an occupying force from the shadows. Its version of the legend feels more grounded than fantastical, with muddy roads, guarded castles, dense forests, and a constant sense that a single raised alarm can ruin a careful plan. The story follows Robin’s resistance while Richard the Lionheart remains imprisoned, giving every raid and rescue a satisfying political purpose.

Missions range from covert infiltrations and prisoner rescues to ambushes, robberies, and larger assaults on fortified positions. You control Robin alongside up to eight familiar Merry Men, including Little John, Maid Marian, Friar Tuck, and Will Scarlet, with each character bringing practical strengths such as archery, disguise, lockpicking, healing, brute force, or scouting. Success usually depends on watching patrol routes, hiding in foliage, distracting guards, using the terrain, and striking before enemies can call reinforcements. Combat happens in real time and rewards active mouse input for special attacks, but direct fighting is risky; conserving supplies and keeping your band alive matters more than winning every brawl.
