RUNGORE blends the card synergies and run-based decision-making of Slay the Spire with the semi-automated fighting and route management associated with Loop Hero. Its tone is knowingly scrappy and irreverent, from the deliberately unhinged tutorial voice to a design that encourages excessive, borderline ridiculous card combos. Instead of patiently waiting for an energy bar to refill, you are invited to flood an encounter with cards and see whether your build can overwhelm the enemy before the enemy overwhelms you.

Battles progress automatically, but the important decisions remain in your hands: choose cards quickly, stack effects, exploit hero-specific strengths, and react to whatever a run throws at you.
