The tone is sober and historical, prioritizing battlefield authenticity over flashy spectacle.

Command can begin at brigade, division, corps, or army level, and the chosen rank fundamentally changes how a battle unfolds. Officers receive instructions from superiors, interpret broad objectives, then dispatch couriers carrying orders to subordinate units; messages take time to travel, so reacting instantly from an all-knowing overhead view is not an option.
