SD GUNDAM G GENERATION CROSS RAYS draws its campaigns from Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED, Gundam 00, and Iron-Blooded Orphans, retelling key conflicts through super-deformed units that still carry their recognizable weapons, pilots, and attacks. The chibi presentation keeps the tone approachable, but the battles deliver plenty of dramatic flair through polished 3D models, anime-style cut-ins, beam weapons, transformations, and signature finishers. It feels like a massive Gundam toy box with a serious strategy layer underneath.

Missions play out on grid-based maps where movement range, terrain, weapon reach, energy use, support attacks, and unit positioning all matter. Players deploy a custom squad, complete scenario objectives, collect defeated enemy machines, and use the series’ Capture system to turn battlefield prizes into future recruits. Development lets one unit evolve along branching upgrade paths, while Design combines compatible machines to unlock new blueprints, making experimentation central to the long-term loop.
