A shattered set of cosmic Laws leaves life, death, and time dangerously unstable in this dark fantasy action RPG. Shards of Order builds its adventure around a small band of survivors attempting to restore those broken rules while questioning whether the old world deserves to be repaired at all. The mood is grim and morally uncertain, with an enigmatic god observing every advance and offering assistance that may carry consequences. Rather than treating combat as a pause between story scenes, the game makes every battle a high-pressure test of planning under fire.

Fights discard the usual turn structure and mana economy in favor of visible countdowns for every enemy. Playing cards changes those timers, so attacks, defenses, and tactical effects are as much about controlling the next few seconds as dealing damage; one poorly timed move can give an opponent the opening they need. Three heroes draw from one shared deck, forcing careful choices about whether to build around a standout specialist or keep the whole party consistently useful. Leveling, individual skill trees, equipment, dialogue decisions, and personal character arcs provide the RPG backbone, while gear can alter playstyles and add new cards directly to the deck.

The shared-deck party system is the strongest hook, because character building and card drafting are never separate concerns. Equipment matters beyond a simple stat upgrade, making each discovery potentially reshape both a hero’s role and the odds of drawing the cards needed at a critical moment. Three handcrafted regions and their boss encounters give the campaign a focused structure, with reclaimed Laws and narrative choices suggesting lasting effects on the journey.
