Chado, a young Waki travelling by flying boat with his friends, is stranded in hostile territory and drawn into a conflict between rival powers. His connection to Shiness, a spirit visible only to him, gives the story its mystical edge as political tension, ancient secrets, and personal rivalries collide. The tone blends Saturday-morning adventure energy with a surprisingly dense fantasy setting shaped by war and environmental ruin.

Combat plays like a one-on-one fighting game folded into an RPG: encounters demand quick strikes, blocking, dodging, counters, and well-timed special moves rather than simple button mashing. Chado’s party includes five playable heroes, each with separate movesets and magical affinities, so switching characters matters both in battles and while navigating the world.
