Floating islands turn city building into a balancing act, placing an environmentally conscious settlement on the last usable landmass above the clouds. The ability to edit terrain so radically gives SKY a different feel from conventional city builders such as Cities: Skylines, where roads and zoning usually matter more than reshaping the world beneath them. Building upward through ten-story artificial mountains or inward through excavated caves creates striking settlements with a toy-box architectural charm. Its voxel visuals and relaxed pace make it approachable for newcomers who want to build without mastering dense economic systems, while normal mode offers enough planning pressure for players who prefer a structured challenge.
