A ruined luxury hotel becomes a vertical death trap after a biological attack turns the outside world—and most of the building’s residents—into a nightmare. Skyhill is a grim roguelike survival adventure that strands businessman Perry Jason in the penthouse of a 100-floor skyscraper with food running out fast. The only way to live is down, through bloodstained corridors packed with mutants, scavengers, and increasingly desperate choices. Its bleak atmosphere keeps the focus on isolation, scarcity, and the uncomfortable sense that every closed door may contain either salvation or a violent end.

Each run revolves around descending floor by floor, searching rooms for food, medicine, crafting materials, weapons, and clues while carefully managing hunger and health. Combat uses turn-based encounters, so positioning and basic stats matter: a poor weapon, an unlucky miss, or an enemy that strikes first can end a promising attempt quickly. Loot lets Perry assemble makeshift gear and improve his chances, while experience and upgrades gradually shape him toward stronger attacks, better accuracy, tougher defenses, or more efficient scavenging. Randomized room contents and enemy placement make knowledge valuable without making any route completely safe, and death sends you back to begin another descent with a new layout.

Skyhill stands out by turning a familiar zombie-apocalypse setup into a compact, oppressive climb-down survival puzzle. Its hand-drawn visuals and grotesque enemy designs give the hotel personality, while its branching discoveries and multiple endings reward repeated runs beyond simply reaching the lobby. The pace is deliberately methodical rather than action-heavy; success comes from rationing supplies, judging risks, and knowing when a fight is not worth taking. Fans of FTL, Darkest Dungeon, or lightweight roguelikes with harsh resource management should find plenty to like, though newcomers need patience with its randomness and punishing early failures.
