Ciggy City Suites turns corporate luxury into a filthy, funny playground where every locked door, rooftop, and service corridor feels worth poking around. You play Ghost, a graffiti writer searching for missing rapper Big Mud while leaving your own mark across an island controlled by the deeply unpleasant GLUG corporation. The mood is surreal, scrappy, and proudly low-rent despite its hotel setting, with grotesque architecture, deadpan jokes, and strange locals giving the world its distinct anti-corporate bite. Rather than chasing a solemn mystery, SLUDGE LIFE 2 treats its investigation as an excuse to wander somewhere gloriously weird.

Most of your time goes into first-person exploration, talking to residents, collecting bizarre gadgets, uncovering side activities, and locating roughly one hundred places to spray your tag. Movement is much more flexible than before: Double Js add sprinting and a second jump, while the Portable Launcher can blast Ghost to new heights and reveal alternate routes through the hotel and surrounding district. Progress comes from curiosity rather than combat or conventional mission structure, as keys, secret passages, collectible tapes, and conversations gradually open up more of the map. Returning tools from the original broaden the toybox, encouraging players to revisit familiar-looking spaces from a new angle and hunt down the most stubbornly hidden graffiti spots.

Its biggest strength is density of personality. Ciggy City is packed with roughly triple the number of NPCs found in the first game, and nearly everyone contributes a strange conversation, a joke, a clue, or another glimpse of life beneath GLUG’s plastic corporate veneer. The crunchy lo-fi visuals and offbeat soundtrack fit the world perfectly, while Big Mud’s hidden tracks give completionists a worthwhile musical reward beyond checking tags off a list. Fans of the first SLUDGE LIFE, Jazzpunk, or the free-roaming oddity of a small open-world immersive sim should feel immediately at home; newcomers who enjoy exploratory games with attitude and no interest in hand-holding will likely get the most from it.
