Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is a single-player adventure set in Runeterra’s frozen northern frontier, following Nunu as he searches for answers about his missing mother alongside his inseparable companion, Willump. The mood balances storybook charm with genuine melancholy: dazzling ice caves, towering mountains, and playful banter sit beside ancient magic and a threat capable of freezing the world beneath Dark Ice. Familiarity with League of Legends is helpful for catching references, but the story stands on its own as an approachable character-focused tale.

Players control Nunu while relying on Willump’s strength and size to cross ravines, move heavy objects, and overcome environmental obstacles. Progress revolves around light exploration, climbing routes, sledding sequences, simple physics puzzles, and occasional stealth or chase moments rather than demanding combat. Snowballs are more than a cute pastime, functioning as tools for activating mechanisms, distracting dangers, and solving puzzles throughout the journey.
