Spellcaster University is a colorful management roguelite that casts you as the headmaster of a traveling school in a playful heroic-fantasy world. Rather than following a fixed campaign, each run asks you to shape an institution around a particular magical philosophy, from sinister necromancy and demon summoning to druidic nature magic or a more practical combat-focused curriculum. The tone stays light and charming, but failure is always close enough to make poor planning sting.

Building begins with a card-driven system: you draw from themed magic decks, then use the rooms, staff, artifacts, and events they provide to expand your school. Students arrive with different traits and needs, and your task is to guide their education by assigning courses, hiring professors, managing resources, and giving them access to useful facilities. Graduates ultimately leave to face the wider world, with their skills and personality reflecting the education you provide. External pressures keep the loop moving, as education authorities demand results while hostile forces can disrupt an academy that is not prepared to defend itself.

Its strongest idea is how naturally the deck mechanics support experimentation. A run devoted to shadow magic creates a very different school, student body, and set of problems than one built around elemental study, sacred disciplines, or wilderness training. The hand-drawn art, oddball events, and compact room-placement design give it some of the same approachable appeal as Two Point Campus, while the randomized cards and run-based structure add a touch of Slay the Spire-style unpredictability.
