The mission begins as a straightforward extermination campaign but steadily folds into a more personal mystery involving human survival, identity, and the truth behind the catastrophe. Its mood sits between glossy futuristic spectacle and lonely post-apocalyptic unease, with striking character design and ruined landscapes that retain traces of ordinary life.

Combat drives nearly every part of the experience, demanding careful timing rather than simple button mashing.
