Rather than copying Amnesia’s helplessness outright, Still Wakes the Deep mixes that vulnerability with the spectacle of a maritime catastrophe, making every trip outside feel especially perilous. Fans of Soma, Alien: Isolation’s chase sequences, and tightly paced narrative horror will find plenty to appreciate, while newcomers can enjoy its accessible, combat-free approach as long as they are comfortable with sustained tension and limited player freedom.
