Game Overview
A blighted Camelot becomes the arena for a fast, forceful roguelike built around breaking King Arthur’s cursed rule. SWORN recasts Arthurian legend as a dark comic-book fantasy, with familiar names such as Merlin, Nimue, and the Knights of the Round Table appearing as allies, threats, or both. You play a newly forged knight fighting through Avalon’s corrupted regions, uncovering why the kingdom has fallen while working toward a final confrontation with Arthur himself. The mood is grim but energetic, carried by bold ink-heavy visuals and a world that looks pulled from a supernatural graphic novel.
Each run sends you through shifting combat encounters, where quick movement, weapon attacks, special abilities, and careful positioning matter as much as raw damage. Four distinct characters, weapon choices, and active powers establish a build’s foundation, while boons granted by the Fae Lords rapidly alter how it plays. Titania may turn attacks into cleansing flame, for example, while Oberon’s gifts favor wind-powered aggression, and more than 200 blessings create a huge range of combinations. Runs work solo or in online co-op for up to four players, with teammates able to layer their strengths into destructive group setups. Between attempts, permanent upgrades at the Beacon of Avalore give your knight more staying power, though higher challenge options let confident players rely on execution rather than long-term progression.
Its strongest draw is the sheer flexibility of its buildcrafting: character traits, arms, skills, and Fae blessings can produce thousands of possible loadouts rather than locking players into preset classes. The Mike Mignola-inspired art direction also helps it stand apart from the cleaner, brighter look common to the genre, giving every monster and battlefield a chunky, gothic presence. Fans of Hades-style run structure who want co-op, Arthurian mythology, and more experimental team synergies should find plenty to chase here. Newcomers can lean on persistent upgrades and multiplayer support, while roguelike veterans can pursue demanding runs and unusual blessing combinations.

How do I fix missing DLL errors for SWORN (v1.2.0.0.1220 & ALL DLC)?
After extracting SWORN (v1.2.0.0.1220 & ALL DLC), navigate to the _Redist or _CommonRedist folder inside the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and any other dependencies included.

Why should I run the game as administrator?
Right-click the game executable and select "Run as Administrator" to avoid save file issues and permission errors. This is especially important on the first launch.
How do I update my GPU drivers for this game?
The game won't launch — what should I try?
Try running in compatibility mode, install the latest DirectX runtime, or install the All-in-One VC Redist Package.
My antivirus is blocking the game — is it safe?
Antivirus false positives are common with pre-installed games. Temporarily pause your antivirus during extraction to prevent it from quarantining game files. You can re-enable it after the extraction completes.
