The Blind Prophet casts players as Bartholomeus, a hard-edged apostle sent on a holy assignment to cleanse its streets and confront the evil at their center. Its point-and-click structure recalls classic adventure games, but the tone is far darker: grimy alleyways, grotesque characters, religious imagery, and gallows humor shape an investigation that rarely feels safe. Bartholomeus is no naïve hero, either; he approaches divine work with the weary confidence of someone who has seen too much.

Progress comes through examining environments, collecting useful objects, speaking with Rotbork’s residents, and connecting clues to overcome increasingly strange obstacles. Hand-drawn art and expressive character portraits sell the ugliness of Rotbork while allowing sharp jokes and absurd moments to break up the oppressive atmosphere. The story builds around faith, duty, moral decay, and demonic influence without losing sight of the protagonist’s dry personality, making the journey feel more character-driven than a simple monster hunt.
