Qaedon is a hard-edged fantasy world where survival matters as much as heroism, and a small band of adventurers must trace the path to Archmage Kornath before a named evil tightens its grip on the Age of Chaos. Set a millennium before the Great Cataclysm, the campaign closes the Feldar Vale trilogy while remaining approachable as a standalone quest. Humans, greenskins, undead, and stranger monsters fill the roads, ruins, settlements, and dungeons around Cleerport, giving the adventure the grimly practical feel of a tabletop campaign where a meal, a healing spell, or a few coins can decide the next expedition. Hand-drawn 2D visuals and a deliberately old-school interface emphasize tactical planning over spectacle.

Players create a party of four to six from familiar fantasy races, then shape them through single- or multiclass roles such as Warrior, Rogue, Cleric, Mage, and Battlemage. Exploration moves between an overland map, indoor locations, and dangerous dungeon crawls, with quests, loot, traps, merchants, and supplies feeding the central loop of venturing out, surviving encounters, and returning better equipped. Battles unfold in turn-based square-grid arenas, where positioning, weapon reach, stealth, spell selection, undead-turning abilities, and specialized gear all have weight. Character growth runs deep: heroes gain experience, carry sizable inventories, learn spells from Arcane, Divine, and Planar traditions, and can die permanently unless the party can pay for resurrection.

Its strongest appeal lies in the amount of control offered to players who enjoy tuning a traditional party RPG. Advanced rules, extensive options, detailed tooltips, item and spell references, non-weapon combat bonuses, illusion-based surprises, and improved enemy casting support a more demanding style than most modern fantasy adventures. Veterans of Gold Box-era Dungeons & Dragons games or modern indie tactical RPGs such as Knights of the Chalice should feel at home, especially if they value careful resource management over cinematic storytelling. Returning players can import a completed party from Mystery at Morgoth, while newcomers can begin fresh and still get a full, self-contained tactical campaign.
