Greenfield village becomes a hostile hunting ground after reports of a horned, demonic creature tearing through livestock and residents. The Goatman is a first-person co-op action-horror hunt built around tracking an unpredictable monster across rural roads, abandoned buildings, graveyards, and isolated landmarks. Its mood sits somewhere between a tactical military operation and a low-budget creature feature: tense when the weather turns and visibility drops, but often chaotic once the target finally attacks. A research team answers the call, only to find that the wilderness contains far more dangers than one legendary beast.

Players choose between Assault, Heavy, and Sniper soldiers, with each role encouraging a different approach to pursuit and survival. Hunting involves scavenging supplies, reading the compass, checking structures marked on the map, and deciding when to spend limited equipment such as mines, C4, traps, medical gear, lights, and drones. A computer station lets the team manage remote tools including cameras and explosives, so preparation can matter as much as gunfire. Online co-op supports up to three players, making it possible to split up for supplies, set ambushes, or coordinate a proper containment plan, although wandering alone always carries risk from wildlife, snakes, crows, and the creature itself.

Changing daylight, rain, and thunderstorms give each outing a less predictable rhythm, while world events can interrupt an otherwise methodical search. The large map’s two villages, church, barn, bridge, and cemetery create useful places to investigate or fortify rather than serving as mere scenery. Its strongest appeal is the blend of asymmetrical-feeling monster hunting with improvised survival tools; expect a rougher, more experimental alternative to polished co-op horror games such as Phasmophobia or GTFO.
