- The Herald: During the ritual you may or may not encounter a shadowy man in your house. He is not The Man in the Fields, he is a herald.
- But heed this warning: DO NOT LOOK INTO THE FIELDS! If you do, you will see a man with elongated limbs starting to move towards your house. You must lock yourself in a safe room with a crucifix, before it finds a way in.

- Unique Locations: The game features 5 locations that are different every time you play. Don’t go looking for items in the same places.
- Multiple Endings: The ritual can end in many different ways, some of which are more fortunate than others.
- Challenge: A race against time while possibly avoiding the Herald makes the ritual challenging. The reward you get is not a straightforward thing.
- Strategy: Find the best ways to use your equipment and the safe room.
