This Means Warp is a co-op roguelite that wears its FTL influence openly, but trades pause-and-plan tension for real-time crew management and a more playful cartoon presentation. Each run sends your ship across a branching star map packed with battles, hazards, shops, and uncertain opportunities. The mood stays funny and colourful, yet the consequences are harsh: lose the ship and the expedition is over.

Combat revolves around keeping a damaged vessel operational while trying to dismantle an enemy’s systems first. Players race between rooms to man weapons, restore shields, repair broken equipment, put out fires, and respond to boarding threats, making coordination as important as aiming the guns. Between encounters, you choose routes through the sector and spend earned resources on new weapons, upgrades, and systems that shape the ship’s strengths. Solo captains can fill roles with AI crew, while local and online co-op supports up to four players, turning high-pressure decisions into either satisfying teamwork or loud, accidental disaster.

Procedural maps and shifting loot ensure that a successful build in one run may be useless in the next, encouraging players to adapt rather than rely on a fixed strategy. Its strongest feature is the way it converts the familiar spaceship-management formula into a shared multiplayer scramble, where someone is always desperately needed at the shields or engine room.
