Characters gain experience and upgrades through exploration, while secret areas, NPC encounters, treasure, and hazardous terrain reward curiosity over brute force. Local and online co-op supports up to four players, letting a group share the chaos, revive one another, and accidentally sabotage the mission with badly timed presents.
