TRI: Of Friendship and Madness is a first-person puzzle-platformer built around spatial awareness rather than combat, asking players to turn impossible towers, corridors, and suspended ruins into navigable spaces. Its mood balances playful fantasy with a faintly unsettling sense of discovery, as every new chamber feels like a toy box assembled by beings with very different ideas about gravity. The central TRI artifact gives the adventure its identity: it lets you redraw the world beneath your feet.

Progress depends on placing anchor points onto suitable surfaces and connecting them to create solid triangular platforms. Those shapes become stairs, bridges, ramps, footholds, light reflectors, and eventually tools for stranger tricks such as scaling walls, so the solution to a puzzle often comes from seeing a room in a new way. Levels encourage careful observation, experimentation, and occasional backtracking as fresh abilities reveal routes that previously appear unreachable. There is no combat system to interrupt the thought process; the challenge comes from judging angles, managing the limited geometry you can create, and executing platforming sections without losing your bearings in three-dimensional space.

What separates TRI from conventional first-person puzzlers is that it does not merely ask you to locate the developer’s intended solution—you actively construct much of the route yourself. Its colorful low-poly environments and monumental dungeon spaces give each puzzle room a distinctive visual character, while the platform-building mechanic creates satisfying moments of personal ingenuity.
