The campaign revolves around managing settlements, raising troops, and pushing for control over 13th-century Holland. Once battle begins, you command up to five unit formations, directing infantry and cavalry while trying to maintain a useful battle line against enemy forces. You can remain in third person as a battlefield commander, fight on foot or horseback, or take direct first-person control of an individual soldier when the situation calls for personal involvement.
