Wild Bastards

A dying outlaw gang races across a hostile galaxy in a fast, funny, and surprisingly tactical first-person shooter. Between fights, loot, shops, encounters, and special locations let you improve the crew or patch up a plan that has gone wrong.

The strongest idea is how its roster creates both combat variety and management problems. Outlaws have personal relationships, and feuding characters may refuse to work well together, making party selection a meaningful strategic choice instead of a cosmetic preference. Procedurally assembled sectors give runs changing combinations of terrain and modifiers, while the post-campaign Challenge Mode adds tougher regions and mutators for players who want to master every character. Fans of Void Bastards will recognize the blend of first-person action and route-based decision-making, while players who enjoy roguelite structure but prefer a proper authored campaign get more personality and gunplay than usual.
