Sig Fildonia burns beneath an alien occupation, and its last defenders answer with a corvette built to shoot its way through impossible odds. WOLFLAME is a compact vertical scrolling shoot-'em-up that channels the direct, punishing energy of arcade classics: enemy formations flood the screen, bullets arrive at uncomfortable speed, and colossal mechanical bosses turn every stage finale into a survival test. The story is lean but effective, casting you as the pilot of the experimental Siebold during a desperate counterattack against the Adorian invasion. Its tone is proudly old-school, built around sharp reflexes, memorized attack patterns, and the satisfaction of clawing through a barrage with a pixel of clearance.

Piloting the Siebold means constantly balancing aggression with positioning as you fire its forward cannon, clear danger with burst plasma attacks, and manage a pair of attack satellites mounted on either side of the ship. Those drones are more than decorative wingmen: their configurations add tactical flexibility, letting players tailor their offensive coverage for swarms, armored targets, or dangerous angles. Ten focused stages keep the campaign moving quickly through fighter assaults, tanks, and transforming enemy machines, while signature giant bosses demand that you read phases and exploit safe gaps in their patterns. Four difficulty settings stretch from a welcoming entry point for genre newcomers to Insane mode for players who want a demanding score-chasing challenge.

What separates WOLFLAME from a basic retro shooter is its satellite system, which gives its straightforward arcade framework a little more player expression than a single fixed weapon loadout. The presentation embraces the dramatic sci-fi spectacle associated with classic vertical shooters, with dense enemy hardware and large boss designs rather than a sprawling narrative or exploration layer. TATE support is especially welcome for players with a rotated monitor and helps the game feel at home in an arcade-style setup, while 36 achievements provide extra goals beyond simply clearing the campaign.
