Its tone is loud, tense, and unapologetically action-focused: the dead do not merely shuffle toward you, but pile over one another in terrifying living avalanches. Whether played alone with bots or with a four-player squad, each episode delivers a brisk, cinematic battle for survival.

Teams push through linear but eventful levels, looting weapons and supplies, completing objectives, defending positions, and racing to extraction before the horde closes in. Gunplay favors coordinated crowd control, with silenced weapons helping a group avoid trouble and heavy firearms, explosives, and mounted defenses used when avoiding it is no longer possible.
