XBlaze Code: Embryo follows Touya Kagari, a sarcastic but fundamentally decent student who survives an encounter with an inhuman creature thanks to Es, an enigmatic girl with unusual powers and even less ordinary origins. Set 150 years before BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, the story trades tournament-fighter spectacle for a character-driven mystery about the boundary between the normal world and its hidden magical underbelly.
