Most of the experience revolves around reading extensive case materials, considering testimony, consulting witnesses, and delivering verdicts in difficult situations with no clean answer. Cases draw inspiration from real events and cover enough detail to make players weigh evidence rather than simply pick an obvious moral option. Bribery, competing agendas, and threats to your standing add another layer to the process, forcing you to decide whether protecting a career matters more than following the law as you see it. Decisions affect both the people in court and Richard’s own professional life, while different historical periods shift the setting and social atmosphere around the judiciary.

What separates it from a straightforward visual novel is its focus on the consequences of authority: a legally defensible ruling may still damage your reputation, conscience, or safety.
