Set in 1841, the story follows Arbaaz Mir as he pursues revenge against Templar forces while protecting a powerful artifact and the people caught in their schemes. Amritsar’s crowded streets, ornate palaces, and rugged outdoor routes are rendered like animated paintings, with vivid reds, golds, and blues giving the side-scrolling format real personality. The tone balances political intrigue with the elegant, acrobatic fantasy expected from the series.

Arbaaz moves through 2.5D levels by climbing, swinging, zip-lining, hiding behind cover, and silently removing guards before alarms spread. Missions reward patience: players scout patrol patterns, slip through guarded spaces, steal key items, and decide when a direct fight is worth the risk. Combat uses familiar Assassin tools alongside regional weapons, including the talwar sword and thrown chakram, while smoke bombs, noise-makers, and disguises create opportunities to bypass enemies without killing them. Optional challenges, collectibles, and performance rankings encourage repeated runs, especially for players chasing cleaner stealth routes and higher scores.

Its strongest feature is how effectively it translates Assassin’s Creed’s parkour-and-stealth formula into a focused platform game rather than trying to imitate the open-world entries. The art direction is far more memorable than the modest scope suggests, and each area uses layered paths and visual cover to make movement feel tactical instead of purely linear. Combat can feel restrictive when several guards crowd the screen, but that limitation reinforces the intended stealth-first approach. Fans of Mark of the Ninja, Prince of Persia, or the franchise’s more guided missions will find a stylish, accessible side story, while series veterans may appreciate the historical setting and challenge-based replayability.
