A successful robbery is less about silent footsteps than the absurd problem of fitting a stolen sofa, safe, or television through a second-floor window. The Break-In is a physics-driven co-op heist game where up to four players case houses, shops, and increasingly dangerous targets before stripping them of anything worth selling. Its tone lands somewhere between tense stealth caper and slapstick sandbox: careful plans regularly collapse into frantic escapes, falling furniture, and improvised problem-solving. Every job turns the humble getaway van into the center of the operation, because loot only counts when you can actually haul it out.

Teams scout for entrances, climb drainpipes, scale roofs, crawl through windows, and decide how aggressively they want to handle the people and security standing between them and the valuables. The flexible climbing system encourages unusual routes, while ladders and climbing picks make inaccessible areas viable if the crew brings the right gear. Once inside, the challenge becomes moving bulky objects safely and quickly, using tools such as airbags and pistons to lower or launch loot toward the van without wrecking the haul. Earnings fund better burglary equipment, while hammers, firecrackers, and disguising headgear offer louder, sneakier, or more chaotic answers to residents and guards.

Procedurally arranged missions prevent robberies from becoming a memorized routine, changing room layouts, entry points, occupants, and security concerns so scouting remains valuable. That randomization pairs well with the game’s physical comedy, where a brilliant idea can work perfectly one run and become a disaster in the next. VR support adds the tactile appeal of manually grabbing, climbing, and transporting objects, but non-VR players share the same sessions through controls designed around equal freedom of movement. Players who enjoy the cooperative disorder of Lethal Company or the object-hauling nonsense of Human: Fall Flat, but want a stronger stealth-and-progression loop, find plenty to like here; it is especially suited to friends willing to laugh when the plan goes wrong.
