Paris is the real star: its streets feel busier, more vertical, and more convincing than many open worlds of its era, from Notre-Dame’s towers to the subterranean catacombs. Unity also stands apart through its exceptional architectural detail and interiors, letting players enter buildings, evade guards through apartments, and use crowds as genuine cover rather than scenery. Combat can feel weightier and less forgiving than later entries, while stealth rewards patience, line-of-sight awareness, and smart use of tools.
