Last Drop

A rain-soaked Finnish town in 1994 provides the rough, oddly funny backdrop for a street-level action adventure built around fists, pride, and bad decisions. You play Seppo “Zeze” Sahtivaara, a local dragged through the criminal side of Nykylä while trying to survive its volatile characters and escalating conflicts. Rather than leaning on firearms or superhero spectacle, Last Drop keeps confrontations personal: disputes end in bruising one-on-one fights. The mood mixes hard-edged drama with the everyday texture of small-town life, from pubs and garages to saunas and shabby roadside streets.

Zeze spends much of his time roaming Nykylä and nearby areas, taking jobs, earning money, buying vehicles, and choosing how to approach the day. Cars and bicycles make getting around easier, while shops, businesses, and social spots follow a clock affected by day, night, and weather conditions. Combat draws from traditional fighting games, asking players to learn timing, movement, attacks, and new techniques instead of simply overpowering opponents; VHS action films even serve as an in-world route to expanding Zeze’s move set. Character growth covers health, strength, agility, stamina, inventory space, cash, and intoxication, so keeping Zeze functional matters as much as winning a brawl.

Last Drop stands out by applying an open-world sandbox structure to a setting games rarely visit with any authenticity: mid-90s Finland, complete with its vehicles, habits, slang-heavy atmosphere, and unglamorous local routines. Its cinematic story ambitions and deliberately grounded violence make it feel closer to a scrappy crime drama than a conventional power fantasy. Players who enjoy the freedom and ambient town life of classic Grand Theft Auto-style sandboxes, but prefer melee combat with more mechanical weight, should find plenty to like. Newcomers can enjoy the setting and narrative, while fighting-game veterans are likely to get the most from mastering Zeze’s hand-to-hand options.
