Its tone balances earnest character drama with absurd humor, screen-filling monsters, and the satisfying excess of classic Japanese action games.

Combat centers on deliberate 2D melee battles where positioning, stamina management, blocking, jumping, and weapon choice all matter. Swords, spears, bows, staves, shields, and thrown tools support wildly different builds, letting a player combine physical attacks, magic, and ranged pressure rather than locking into a conventional class.
