Game Overview

Early-1900s London becomes a gleefully messy monster-hunting playground as an evil wizard floods its streets with zombies, grotesque bosses, and other undead problems. GIBZ is a fast, cartoonish action game built around mowing down enormous crowds with guns, blades, and whatever absurdly powerful weapon happens to drop next. Its tone is more slapstick than scary, with dismemberment treated as a shower of collectible chaos rather than horror. The result feels like an arcade survival shooter crossed with a light RPG and a deliberately ridiculous zombie comedy.

Players roam an overworld map, triggering encounters as they travel between locations and spending Zombie Repellent when they would rather avoid a fight. Combat rewards constant movement and crowd control: shoot through swarms, cut enemies apart up close, surf across zombie bodies, grab crate weapons, and build killstreaks for extra firepower when the right perk is equipped. Coins collected during missions fund perks that improve damage, speed, and other practical stats, while rare “Supa Weapons” can turn a desperate round into a one-sided massacre. Up to four people can tackle the carnage together through online or local co-op, making it far easier to survive the larger waves and far more entertaining when the screen fills with flying limbs.

The overworld does more than connect battles, offering short diversions such as zombie surfing, Gatling gun defense, treasure digging, and freeform mayhem challenges. Character customization gives each survivor a little personality through selectable heads, hair colors, clothing tints, and hats or face gear scavenged from enemies; many of those accessories also provide small bonuses. Boss encounters add a welcome change of pace from standard horde clearing, demanding more focused dodging and sustained damage. Fans of the crowd-crushing chaos in games like Zombie Army or the sillier side of top-down twin-stick shooters should find plenty to enjoy, especially with friends, while solo players who like arcade repetition and unlock-driven progression also get a solid undead stress reliever.
