Beach Invasion 1945 – Pacific trades the usual campaign-style push across battlefields for a harsher premise: hold a fortified position while enemy landing craft, infantry columns, armor, and aircraft keep coming. Its mood is loud, attritional, and unapologetically arcade-like, with shellfire, smoke, and changing skies turning each round into a siege. Four locations inspired by Iwo Jima, Peleliu, Manila Bay, and Attu give the conflict a distinctly Pacific-theater character.

Most of the action revolves around manning fixed defenses and choosing the right tool before a wave reaches the beach. Players fire mounted machine guns, heavy coastal weapons, anti-aircraft batteries, and mortars, then supplement that firepower with mines, explosive traps, artillery calls, and supply drops. Enemy types force constant target prioritization: aircraft demand attention overhead while tanks, amphibious vehicles, flamethrower soldiers, and rocket troops threaten the line at ground level. Medals and upgrades reward strong performances, unlocking or improving tools such as armor-piercing ammunition, incendiaries, gas attacks, and other short-term battlefield advantages; co-op also lets two players share the pressure as either US or Japanese defenders.

What separates it from broader WWII shooters is its compact tower-defense structure viewed through an FPS sightline. Rather than worrying about a huge objective map, success depends on placement, timing, ammunition management, and knowing when to spend support abilities before the defenses collapse. Dynamic weather and the shift between daylight and darkness add atmosphere without turning the game into a simulation, while the exaggerated effects make every successful barrage satisfying. Fans of Call of Duty’s mounted-gun set pieces, Sniper Elite’s period hardware, or wave-defense games looking for a simple co-op format should find plenty to enjoy, especially if they prefer immediate action over a long narrative campaign.
