A burglary goes wrong the moment the lights begin to fail, turning an ordinary house into a hunting ground for supernatural predators. Boo Men blends co-op heist planning with survival-horror tension, asking players to locate valuables, complete a shopping list of stolen goods, and escape before the darkness closes in. The mood sits somewhere between Phasmophobia’s anxious team communication and a stealth game’s methodical looting, except every lamp you switch on becomes another drain on the house’s limited power supply. Even familiar rooms feel unsafe when a blackout can arrive at the worst possible moment.

Each match revolves around searching rooms, carrying the requested loot, monitoring electricity, and deciding when to risk a trip to the breaker box. Staying in the light is usually essential, but the threat is not completely predictable: certain Boo Men can occupy lit spaces, creating a nasty layer of doubt around every supposedly safe room. Solo players keep all earnings but face the full burden of navigation and survival, while up to four players can divide tasks, call out finds through proximity voice chat, and share the eventual reward. Dynamic scaling adjusts the pressure for the size of the crew, and stolen money funds masks, practical perks, and access to more lucrative properties.

PvP provides the strongest change of pace, letting one player control a Boo Man against a larger group of burglars. Eight monsters with individual powers encourage different stalking tactics, while eight maps, randomized item positions, adjustable modes, and five difficulty tiers keep runs from becoming routine. The power-management hook gives Boo Men a distinct identity among asymmetric horror games; light is both protection and a rapidly vanishing resource, rather than a simple comfort.
