Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition

Stygia is a ruined pleasure planet where every collapsed hotel, overgrown amusement district, and wrecked spaceport becomes a playground for spectacular violence. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is a loud, gleefully excessive first-person shooter built around Grayson Hunt, a disgraced mercenary chasing the general who destroyed his life. Its story mixes revenge, crude humor, and sci-fi disaster-movie energy, never pretending to be subtle when it can instead throw a mutant through a window with a boot-powered kick. The tone is rowdy and deliberately ridiculous, but the action remains sharp enough to reward skill rather than simple trigger holding.

Combat revolves around the Leash, an energy whip that yanks enemies into range, suspends them in midair, or drags explosive scenery toward them. Players combine it with a forceful slide-kick, a varied arsenal of firearms, environmental hazards, and weapon charge shots to perform Skillshots: creative eliminations that earn points for upgrades and encourage constant experimentation. Kicking an enemy into cacti, firing a drill round through several targets, or lashing someone toward a carnivorous plant is more valuable than an ordinary kill, giving every arena a score-attack rhythm. Alongside the campaign, the package includes Echoes score missions, Anarchy co-op survival for up to four players, all prior add-ons, and the Duke Nukem’s Bulletstorm Tour campaign option.

What separates Bulletstorm from more serious shooters is its commitment to turning every firefight into an improvisational stunt show. Levels are largely linear rather than genuinely open world, yet they are packed with traps, elevation changes, and enemy setups that invite replays for higher scores and better Skillshot chains. Full Clip’s improved presentation and extra content make it the most complete version of a cult favorite that still feels distinctive years later. Fans of Doom’s aggressive momentum, Vanquish’s kinetic combat, or arcade score chasing should find plenty to enjoy, while newcomers can approach it on lower difficulties and still feel like action-movie maniacs.
