Freya’s Prospect is a hostile frontier colony where Marines, Predators, and Aliens turn every dark corridor, ruined facility, and swamp path into contested hunting ground. Aliens vs. Predator delivers three separate first-person campaigns, each built around a radically different fantasy: a frightened soldier surviving impossible odds, an armored hunter pursuing worthy prey, and a lethal creature tearing through defenders at close range. The Marine story leans hardest into horror, using flickering lights, motion-tracker tension, and the constant threat of something moving beyond your sightline. Predator and Alien missions shift the mood toward stealthy domination and savage speed, giving the package a satisfyingly varied sci-fi identity.

Marine combat centers on familiar firearms, grenades, health supplies, and careful ammunition use, while the iconic pulse rifle remains a reliable answer to panic. Predators use cloaking, vision modes, shoulder-mounted weaponry, traps, and melee executions, rewarding patience and target selection over reckless shooting. Aliens sprint across walls and ceilings, ambush from impossible angles, and rely on claws, tail strikes, and inner jaws to overwhelm isolated foes; their campaign feels especially mobile and aggressive. Each story is fairly focused and linear, but switching species changes how you read environments, approach enemies, and handle danger.

Multiplayer remains the standout feature, pitting all three species against one another in asymmetric matches where movement, sightlines, and sound matter as much as aim. Marines control space with firepower, Predators stalk from elevation, and Aliens exploit routes other factions cannot reach, creating tense encounters that feel unlike a standard deathmatch shooter. Rebellion’s atmospheric level design and faithful creature presentation make the strongest moments feel pulled from the films, even when the campaign AI and close-combat systems show their age. Fans of Doom 3-style sci-fi horror, the Alien films, or unconventional competitive shooters find plenty to enjoy, while newcomers should expect a demanding game that rewards learning each faction’s strengths.
