Nara’s war against the Circle turns a sleek space shooter into a personal reckoning with cult indoctrination, guilt, and revenge. Once the order’s most lethal operative, she now flies alongside Forsaken, a sentient fighter craft with its own scars and attitude, to dismantle the regime that made them both weapons. The result is a dark, cinematic science-fiction adventure that favors high-speed dogfights over slow simulation, moving between vast nebulae, industrial stations, ancient ruins, and stranger dimensions beyond ordinary space. Its tone stays serious and occasionally introspective, but the action is built around the fantasy of becoming an untouchable ace pilot.

Piloting Forsaken means constantly boosting, sliding, locking targets, and weaving through missile barrages in fully three-dimensional arenas. A responsive drift system lets Nara swing the ship around while preserving momentum, making it possible to keep firing at pursuers during aggressive evasive maneuvers. Missions combine story-driven assaults with open-area exploration, side objectives, rescue operations, collectibles, and optional encounters that reward upgrades for weapons, shields, and hull systems. Nara gradually regains supernatural Rites, including telekinesis, short-range teleportation, and enemy-sensing powers, which add tactical options against shields, swarms, capital ships, and the unsettling Void creatures that emerge later. Combat starts approachable but asks for smarter weapon switching and ability chaining as enemy formations become more demanding.

What separates Chorus from most arcade-style spaceship games is the partnership between pilot and ship, reinforced by frequent dialogue and a progression system that makes their shared history central to the campaign. Its flight model feels more immediate than a hardcore simulator, yet the ability to drift, teleport behind targets, and dismantle specific ship defenses gives battles more texture than simple lock-on shooting. The world design often looks spectacular, especially when the action shifts from open cosmic vistas into dense tunnels or surreal reality-bending spaces.
